💳 Understanding Usage & Billing

How Blockli Assistant tracks usage, charges for AI interactions, and manages your credit balance and infrastructure fees.

Blockli Assistant uses a hybrid billing model that combines an annual infrastructure fee with pay-as-you-go token usage. This ensures you only pay for what you use, while also covering the system resources needed to power your assistant securely and reliably.

🏗️ 1. Infrastructure Fee (Annual Subscription)

Every Blockli Assistant plan includes an annual infrastructure fee, based on the features, memory, and resource tier selected. This fee covers:

  • Your Redis memory allocation

  • Long-term data storage

  • Access to your dashboard and agent tools

  • Core assistant API infrastructure

  • Wordpress Plugin

Once you choose a plan, your infrastructure fee is billed annually and remains fixed for that subscription year.

⚙️ 2. Usage-Based Billing (Tokens & Credits)

In addition to your subscription, Blockli Assistant charges for AI usage based on tokens:

  • Prompt Tokens: The tokens used when you send a message to the assistant

  • Completion Tokens: The tokens used when the assistant generates a response

Rather than charging per message, we calculate the total token consumption per interaction and subtract it from your credit balance.

💰 3. Credits: Pay-As-You-Go Balance

You’ll fund your AI usage with credits, which are used to offset the cost of token consumption.

  • Add credits at any time from your customer portal

  • Credits are consumed automatically as you use the assistant

  • When your credits run low, you’ll receive a notification to top up

  • You can continue topping up manually or enable auto-recharge (coming soon)

🔄 Running out of credits? Don’t worry—just log in and recharge to keep the assistant running without interruption.
📊 4. Track Your Usage in Real Time

You can view your:

  • Remaining credits

  • Token usage history (prompt + completion)

  • Redis memory usage

  • Estimated consumption rate

All directly from your Usage Metrics section in the customer portal.
