📘 Understanding Blockli AI Credits & Usage-Based Billing
Blockli AI Credits are prepaid units that give you access to Blockli’s AI-powered services — including chat, automation, and intelligent insights — through the Blockli Assistant. Rather than paying a fixed monthly fee, you use credits based on how much of the service you consume.
Credits make billing flexible, transparent, and scalable, especially for businesses and developers whose usage may vary over time.
Blockli uses a metered billing model, which means:
You purchase credits in advance (e.g. 1,000 credits).
As you interact with the Blockli Assistant (e.g. sending messages, generating content, etc.), credits are consumed.
When your credit balance runs low, you can top up anytime.
This approach ensures you only pay for what you use, and it scales naturally with your needs.
Each action within Blockli Assistant — like generating AI responses — consumes a certain number of credits, typically based on the number of tokens processed (a token is a unit of text under the hood, but this is abstracted away from users).
Examples:
Sending a short chat message = small number of credits
Asking for a detailed response or multiple outputs = more credits

When your credits run low:
You’ll receive a notification.
Simply go to your billing dashboard and add more credits.
Your balance updates immediately after payment is completed.
Some plans may also offer auto-recharge when credits drop below a certain threshold.
No fixed subscription: Only pay for what you use.
Complete control: Pause usage anytime — your credits stay until used.
Usage visibility: Track usage in real time from your dashboard.
Scales with you: Suitable for light users and power users alike.
Do credits expire?
By default, Blockli AI Credits do not expire. However, special promotions or trial credits may have expiration dates — always check your credit terms.
Credits are non-refundable, but they remain in your account and can be used anytime unless otherwise stated.
Navigate to Billing > Usage in your Blockli dashboard to view a detailed breakdown of credit consumption.
